Vessel Performance Operations (Hull) Specialist Based in Mumbai, India Overview: As part of the Vessel Performance team, you will be primarily responsible for managing hull performance and biofouling while supporting wider fleet performance initiatives. The role is hands-on, requiring strong operational and analytical skills to ensure vessel efficiency, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective hull maintenance. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Monitor hull condition across the fleet and recommend inspections, grooming, and antifouling runs. </li><li>Track long-stay vessels and plan timely hull actions. </li><li>Arrange and oversee hull cleaning, inspections (UWI/C), and grooming operations to meet performance and compliance standards. </li><li>Ensure compliance with NZ/MPI/AU biofouling regulations and maintain validity for hull loggers. </li><li>Verify invoices against work scope and monitor vendor service quality. </li><li>Provide operational advice to Chartering and Operations on hull cleaning availability, costs, and drydock/inspection history. </li><li>Support legal cases by providing evidence for hull fouling disputes. </li><li>Collaborate with fleet performance colleagues in Mumbai and Dubai on broader vessel efficiency initiatives. </li></ul> <div> </div> <h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering or related field of study. </li><li>Prior sailing experience as 2nd Officer or 3rd Engineer with minimum 12 months sailing experience; OR </li><li>Minimum 2 years’ experience in the shipping industry, ideally with exposure to hull management, vessel performance, or technical operations. </li><li>At least 3 to 5 years shore-based experience in fleet performance / technical operations with strong understanding of vessel operations, hull performance, and compliance requirements. </li><li>Good coordination and communication skills to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and service providers. </li></ul><div> </div> <h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Gain exposure to international fleet operations, reporting directly to the management in HQ. </li><li>Opportunity to build expertise in a specialized and fast-growing area of maritime performance management. </li><li>Good remuneration. </li></ul><div> </div> </body></html>
