Location:OragadamJob PurposeThe Resource - Sourcing & Logistics- Supplier Technical Assistance will align the Supplier Technical Assistance plans with the business requirements & will be responsible for deliverables. The incumbent will lead the Development & SOP of alternate sources of exclusive parts. He/ she will also monitor progress of projects and provide MIS updates to stakeholders.Key Responsibilities● Lead the process of new vendor development and selection, sourcing and pricing of all the components of the BOM as per the required and approved unit cost, tool cost, quality and specifications● Scout for new vendors and carry out first screening based on quality, process and capacity● Leads Engineering Change Implementation (ECM) activities● Capacity ramp up at Supplier end based on production requirement● Raise RFQS to shortlisted suppliers, analyze first costing proposal and preselect minimum 3 suppliers for detailed supplier audit process● Lead the supplier audit process by involving and leading the quality, SCM and R&D team leaders● Negotiate best unit and tool cost and conditions and present the shortlisted suppliers with supplier rating to the NPD committee for final selection● Leads Engineering Change Implementation (ECM) activities.● Develop a supplier rating process and for second screening price settlement (product and tooling) with suppliers for new parts● Lead the cost reduction programs through different initiatives including VA/VE, multi sourcing, price renegotiations, etc.● Work closely with spares unit and suppliers for meeting target schedule adherence● Lead Digitization initiatives such as development and testing of connected bikesDrive progress towards Carbon neutrality by reducing the usage of single use plastic of supplier partsInternal Stakeholder Product Development Current Engineering Genuine Motorcycle Accessories Quality AssuranceEducation● B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical / Automobile EngineeringExperience● 6 years’ experience in a similar role with experience in the following areas:□ Ability to do 1st principle costings□ Commercial Acumen□ Developing Bill of Materials□ Knowledge of Materials Systems & Procedures□ Knowledge of SAP MM module□ Knowledge of Manufacturing process□ Knowledge of Vendor Base□ Ability to read and interpret DrawingsNegotiation SkillSkill Electrical Vehicles (EV) technology Keeping abreast of latest trends in manufacturing processes/engineering Procurement strategy Product understanding Supply Chain operations Vendor developmentBehavioral Competencies ● Empowering Leadership● Customer advocacy● Boundaryless Collaboration● Thinking Unconventional
