Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.</p><p/><p><b><u>Roles Overview:</u></b> <b> </b></p><ul><li>Provide extensive Windows PC support and configuration. Manage and support Windows operating systems, including Windows 11. Configure and maintain Windows LTSC .</li><li>Lead the creation and maintenance of PC images, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and security standards.</li><li>Configure shopfloor PC systems to meet the needs of the organization, ensuring optimal performance and stability.</li><li>Design, develop and manage the deployment and operation of PC software, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and organizational policies.</li><li>Monitor and track the operational health of shopfloor PC systems and software, identifying opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the CMDB for PCs, by continuously tracking CIs and managing them in alignment with actual PC usage and status.</li><li>Develop and maintain clear and concise end-user and support documentation, including SOPs, guidelines, and training materials.</li><li>Troubleshoot system issues: Resolve small-scale site issues efficiently. Address high-priority or wide-ranging issues under time-sensitive conditions.</li><li>Own and be accountable for identifying opportunities to improve and enhance the overall user experience with PC systems and software.</li><li>Ensure that all PC systems and Software including Images adhere to organizational policies and security standards, implementing necessary controls and configurations.</li><li>Provide training and support to end-users and support teams, ensuring they are well-equipped to use and manage PC systems and software effectively.</li><li>Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline PC and Software management processes and reduce manual intervention.</li><li>Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track the performance and compliance of PC systems and Software.</li><li>Lead the response to and resolution of high-severity incidents related to PC systems and software, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of PC systems and software.</li><li>Manage relationships with PC and software vendors & depots, ensuring they meet service level agreements and deliver high-quality services.</li><li>Ensure that PC systems and software comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.</li><li>Lead and participate in projects related to the deployment and enhancement of PC systems and software, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.</li><li>Work closely with IT security, network teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of PC systems and software.</li><li>Continuously monitor and analyze operating system performance, identifying and implementing enhancements to optimize the user experience and system efficiency.</li><li>Oversee the lifecycle management of PC hardware and software in the shopfloor space, ensuring timely upgrades and replacements.</li><li>Implement and manage security measures for PC systems and software, including antivirus, encryption, and patch management.</li><li>Participate in new technology pilots and programs to ensure end-user support readiness for go-live launches.</li><li>Drive initiatives to increase customer satisfaction by improving support team quality, knowledge, and training.</li><li>Communicate effectively both within immediate team, horizontal partners, and GE Aerospace leadership.</li></ul><p/><p>  <b>Qualification / Requirements: </b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors.</li><li>Professional experience with PC image creation, PC engineering, and software management.</li><li>A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the Digital Technology domain.</li><li>Experience with MS Intune.</li><li>Understanding of native & hybrid join.</li><li>Hands-on PowerShell knowledge.</li><li>Experience with packaging applications.</li><li>Experience with centrally managed profiles for high reliability sites, preferred experience with Roaming Profiles and Mandatory Profiles in Active Directory</li></ul><p/><p>  <b>Desired Characteristics:</b></p><ul><li>Strong technical and analytical skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills.</li><li>Proven ability to work in a large, cross-functional team.</li><li>Proactively identifies and removes obstacles or barriers.</li><li>Ability to take a data-driven approach to making recommendations or developing plans.</li><li>Eager to learn and share ideas and encourages feedback.</li><li>Operates with a thorough, detail-oriented mindset.</li><li>Experience in the Digital Workplace Platform domain, PC/endpoint management, Software management.</li><li>Experience driving and leading simultaneous, complex projects.</li><li>Understands when change is needed and actively participates in technical strategy planning.</li><li>Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analysis skills and best practices.</li><li>Influences and energizes other toward the common vision and goal to maintain critical momentum during high-stress times.</li><li>Professional experience with mobile device management and mobile carrier services</li></ul><p/><p>  <b>Desirable Qualification </b></p><ul><li><p>Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn</p></li><li><p>Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively</p></li><li><p>Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed </p></li><li><p>Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative</p></li><li><p>Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker</p></li></ul><p/><p>At GE Aerospace, we have a relentless dedication to the future of safe and more sustainable flight and believe in our talented people to make it happen.
