This role involves working with .NET Core, cloud-native technologies, microservices, modern frontend frameworks, and DevOps automation while ensuring security, performance, and reliability. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our organization and clients. WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH​ At H&M Group, you’ll be part of the Product and move area within CoE Engineering—a global, cross-functional team dedicated to enabling data-driven decision-making at the core of our customer offering. The Fulfilment team focuses on enabling intelligent, fast, and flexible order fulfilment within H&M’s ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration that supports the business model and consistently meets customer needs. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li>Design, develop, and deliver software solutions that meet business goals and quality standards.</li> <li>Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using best practices and design patterns.</li> <li>Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.</li> <li>Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and performance.</li> <li>Participate in code reviews to both provide and receive constructive feedback.</li> <li>Work closely with team members to resolve technical issues and optimize application performance.</li> <li>Contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications and user guides.</li> <li>Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.</li> <li>Continuously learn and improve skills through training, knowledge sharing, and professional development.</li> <li>Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest improvements and innovations.</li> <li>Use containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and deploy/manage applications with Azure Container Registry (ACR) and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).</li> </ul> WHO YOU ARE We are looking for people with <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field</li> <li>3–5 years of experience with .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.</li> <li>Hands-on experience building backend services and working with relational databases (SQL).</li> <li>Strong grasp of object-oriented principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles.</li> <li>Proficiency with Azure services for cloud-based application development.</li> <li>Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.</li> <li>Experience with version control systems such as Git.</li> <li>Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative software development practices.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.</li> <li>Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.</li> <li>Expected to adopt Gen AI in software development and be cognizant of cost and value of Gen AI in software development.</li> <li>They should be competent in using Gen AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot for tasks such as code completion, refactoring and test automation.</li> </ul> Preferred Skills: <ul> <li>Azure certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) is a plus</li> <li>Exposure to serverless computing and event-driven architectures.</li> <li>Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cosmos DB).</li> <li>Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, ACR, AKS).</li> <li>Experience with front-end technologies React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like would be an advantage.</li> <li>Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.</li> <li>Enthusiasm for staying updated with emerging technologies and applying them in projects.</li> <li>Understanding of MCP (or similar) fundamentals and responsible Gen AI usage, along with hands on experience in prompt engineering and backend integration of AI APIs</li> </ul> And people who are <ul> <li>Passionate about problem-solving and building scalable applications.</li> <li>Excited about working in a fast-paced, Agile environment.</li> <li>Open to learning and adapting to new technologies and best practices.</li> <li>Team players with strong collaboration and communication skills.</li> </ul> WHO WE ARE H&M is a global company of strong fashion brands and ventures.
