As part of a core team of embedded specialists, you will work on cutting-edge hardware and software technologies, contributing to the success of next-generation AMD products.   THE PERSON:   We want an engineer who thrives in the embedded domain, demonstrates strong problem-solving and leadership skills, and can drive complex issues to resolution. You should be an effective communicator and a collaborative team player who works seamlessly across diverse teams within AMD.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   <ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain embedded peripheral drivers (e.g., SPI, I3C, OSPI, SD/eMMC, UFS, USB, Ethernet etc) for Linux, Zephyr, and Baremetal environments.</li><li>Participate in ASIC and hardware bring-up activities.</li><li>Debug and resolve existing issues while exploring innovative, efficient solutions.</li><li>Collaborate with AMD architecture teams to influence and enhance future product designs.</li><li>Apply data-driven approaches to optimize performance and efficiency.</li><li>Stay current with emerging trends in software, hardware, algorithms, and architecture.</li><li>Build and maintain strong technical relationships with peers and partners. </li></ul>   PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:    <ul><li>8–9 years of experience in embedded systems development.</li><li>Expertise in embedded C programming.</li><li>Hands-on experience with RTOS (e.g., Zephyr, FreeRTOS), Linux kernel, and device driver development.</li><li>Proven track record in hardware/SoC bring-up.</li><li>Solid understanding of silicon domain and hardware-software integration.</li><li>Strong knowledge of ARM and/or RISC-V architectures.</li><li>Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.</li><li>Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python).</li><li>Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li></ul>   ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:   <ul> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="13" data-list-defn-props="{" aria-setsize="-1" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1"> Bachelor’s or Master's degree in ECE, EEE, or CSE  </li></ul>  #LI-SK4 Benefits offered are described:  <a href="https://amd.jibeapply.com/benefits" target="_blank" rel="noopener">AMD benefits at a glance</a>.  AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
