This individual will play a key role in analyzing requirements, architecting solutions, coding, testing, and maintaining high-volume, complex backend applications. This role also includes providing leadership, technical guidance, and mentorship to peers and junior engineers. This position will be in Hyderabad/Bangalore/Chennai at our India location. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? <ul><li>Architect, design, and develop scalable, high-performance backend applications and features.</li><li>Participate in requirements gathering, technology selection, data modeling, Azure infrastructure design, and CI/CD pipeline development.</li><li>Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern programming languages and frameworks.</li><li>Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.</li><li>Lead features or components through the full software development lifecycle—from design to deployment and support.</li><li>Create technical documentation and support release validation and beta testing.</li><li>Perform system analysis and contribute to project estimation and prioritization.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.</li></ul> What are the requirements needed for this position? <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.</li><li>8+ years of experience in backend development using C# (.NET Core Web APIs, Microservices).</li><li>6+ years of experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server).</li><li>3+ years of experience with NoSQL/document databases (preferably MongoDB).</li><li>2+ years of experience with Azure Cloud Platform and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.</li><li>Strong understanding of OOP principles and design patterns.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Experience mentoring junior developers and sharing technical knowledge.</li><li>Passion for learning and staying current with industry trends.</li></ul> What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? <ul><li>Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.</li><li>Familiarity with Terraform for Azure resource deployment.</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.</li><li>Quick learner with the ability to disseminate best practices across teams.</li><li>Familiarity with Assurant’s development and architecture standards (if applicable).</li></ul></body></html>
