We are looking for a Senior - Revenue Accountant (Level 2) in Chennai. You will lead monthly close activities related to Revenue, AR related journal entries and monthly Revenue reporting.<ul><li>Prepare month-end journals, perform month-end closing and reporting activities; manage stakeholders communications for any exceptions, deviations issue resolutions.</li><li>Evaluate complex sales contracts to determine the appropriate treatment in accordance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 606), documenting management’s conclusions with appropriate references to accounting codification.</li><li>Partnering with the Power BI Team to identify processes which can be automated.</li><li>Support overall business unit reporting requirements. Develop knowledge and understanding of the financial systems that are critical to the reporting process.</li><li>Prepare analysis for ad hoc requests and special projects and provide direct support to the management team.</li><li>Work closely with technical accounting, Finance, Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, FP&amp;A, AR, IT, and various business owners on policies, processes, and programs to help drive key initiatives and process improvements.Ability to resolve complex accounting problems and being a team player.</li><li>Ability to support all the audit related queries.</li><li>Collaborate with the Internal Audit team to establish and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Knowledge &amp; first-hand experience of billing &amp; revenue recognition, ASC 606, US GAAP is a plus.</li><li>Chartered Accountant preferred.</li><li>3+ years of related experience; preferably with a background in audit or SOX/ICFR control frameworks.</li><li>Understanding of revenue recognition principles and related accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606).</li><li>Experience working on tools like NetSuite and Chargebee</li><li>SaaS company experience is a plus.</li><li>Experience working on tools like NetSuite and Chargebee</li><li>CA degree is a must (3+ Years of Experience)</li><li>Strong work ethics, professional attitude and reliability</li></ul>
