You will help shape the future of Metropolis products, driving strategy to build top-tier customer experiences.</p><p>You have a product-oriented mindset and a passion for delighting customers. You won't just inspire your team; you will help build a strong engineering culture. This is a critical role: you will ensure our software directly answers customer needs and accelerates our growth. If you are energized by the mission to give our customers back their time through remarkable mobility products, this role is for you.</p><h3>What you'll do</h3><ul><li>Execute on the multi-year vision and strategy for customer-facing product offerings, working closely with Product Management</li><li>Establish the necessary processes for operational excellence and high system reliability, enabling rapid experimentation and data-informed decisions</li><li>Act as a great coach, consistently bringing out the best in your engineering team</li><li>Be a key driver in hiring top talent and cultivating the culture within Metropolis Engineering</li><li>Foster a collaborative environment where the best product and technical ideas are nurtured and successfully brought to life</li><li>Manage the delivery of powerful high-impact applications like workflows, dashboards, and data visualizations</li><li>Contribute to strengthening a customer-oriented mindset across Metropolis</li></ul><h3>What we're looking for</h3><ul><li>5+ years of management experience and 10+ years of software development experience building customer-centric applications and products</li><li>Experience scaling and supporting teams of 10+ people and building a strong bench of senior individual contributors</li><li>A proven track record of successfully executing initiatives that have a strategic business impact</li><li>Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions while building customer solutions in both B2C and B2B settings</li><li>Proven track record designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and software products in high-volume, consumer-facing applications</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you can clearly and concisely present complex technical information to diverse audiences</li></ul><h3>Our Stack</h3><ul><li>Languages + Frameworks: TypeScript, React, Scala (principally), Java (limited)</li><li>Datastores: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake</li><li>Cloud: AWS</li><li>Version control: Git & GitHub</li><li>AI Tooling: Copilot on GitHub</li><li>Observability: Datadog</li></ul><hr/><p><em>When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate.
