We mitigate risk, employ innovative thinking, embrace the rapidly emerging digitized world and commit to practices that advance sustainability.ABOUT ROLE: The Senior Manager, Procurement - Sustainability & Innovation will be responsible for the coordination and execution of Global Procurement sustainability and supplier innovation initiatives, with a focus on analysis, reporting, evolving regulations, supplier engagement, and stakeholder support initiatives that align with Avery Dennison’s enterprise sustainability goals and overall Plan to Win.  This role requires a blend of subject matter expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to drive change in a global organization.Our global Materials Group comprises Label and Packaging Materials, Graphics Solutions, Reflective Solutions, and Performance Tapes businesses and this role will seamlessly support the collaborative efforts across those respective businesses.  Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Strategic Programs and Operational Excellence, this role will enable execution of the functional strategies developed by the Global Materials Procurement Leadership Team (GMPLT)Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Serve as procurement’s central point of contact for sustainability and supplier-driven innovation.</li><li>Monitor evolving global regulatory frameworks and proactively translate these to functional requirements.</li><li>Maintain the Sustainability Playbook for Procurement and provide training to the procurement team.</li><li>Partner with the Enterprise Sustainability Centers of Excellence (COEs) to execute against company goals and report performance.</li><li>Design and execute a structured program for supplier-driven innovation, encouraging strategic suppliers to propose and co-develop innovative solutions that deliver both business value and sustainability impact. </li><li>Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to sustainability, monitor supplier carbon emissions data, and contribute to external disclosures and sustainability reports.</li><li>Conduct supplier risk assessments  and develop corrective action plans for underperforming vendors.</li><li>Coordinate cross-functional supply chain due diligence activities and reporting.</li><li>Track supplier engagement activities and report on program progress.</li><li>Help suppliers build their capacity to provide credible and consistent emissions disclosures.</li><li>Integrate emissions reduction targets into vendor performance frameworks and sourcing strategies.</li><li>Partner with category managers to to identify high-impact categories and regions for focused sustainability interventions while embedding KPIs into sourcing decisions and supplier selection criteria.</li><li>Lead and participate in sustainability related projects: managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication.</li></ul>Skills & Capabilities<ul><li>Leadership Competencies: <ul><li>People Leadership: Lead change whilst simplifying & prioritizing actions. </li><li>Business Leadership: Able to provide strategic leadership, think outside in and nurture innovation.</li><li>Self Leadership: Ability to be agile, champion collaboration and deliver holistic results at rapid speed. </li></ul></li><li>Functional Competencies: <ul><li>Process Analysis & Optimization: Inside-out knowledge, passion and ability to adhere to enterprise processes led by Procurement, operating with a strong process mindset, demonstrated through ability to analyze, optimize and streamline workflows to achieve efficiency and quality outcomes</li><li>Continuous Improvement: Strives for high-quality performance in self and the organization, taking initiative to improve services or processes to deliver optimum results, and encourages a culture of continuous improvement within the function</li><li>Digital Mindset: Insight to leverage digital technologies to streamline procurement processes, enhance collaboration, and improve efficiency, such as e-procurement systems, contract management software, supplier relationship management platforms, and electronic sourcing tools.</li></ul></li><li>Value Creation: Well versed with the ESG needs with an ability to drive market driven innovation whilst keeping an enterprise mindset.</li><li>Job Competencies: <ul><li>Skillset: Proven ability to operate with a Global Mindset. Integrity, Courage, External Focus, Diversity, Sustainability, Innovation, Teamwork, Excellence.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Requirements and Prior Experience: <ul><li>5+ years of experience in procurement with a focus on sustainability, ESG and supplier innovation.</li><li>Proven track record of developing and implementing sustainable procurement strategies or supplier innovation programs.</li><li>Strong understanding of sustainable procurement practices, ESG frameworks, human rights in the supply chain, and relevant regulations.</li><li>Ability to analyze data, identify reduction opportunities, and measure KPIs for sustainability.</li><li>Experience working in cross-functional teams to implement processes and changes.</li><li>The role may require some global travel.</li></ul></li></ul></div></body></html>
