The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, deploying, and maintaining AWS infrastructure, as well as automating and optimizing processes. They will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our cloud-based applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and manage continuous deployment practices, infrastructure, build, deployment, and monitoring systems on AWS.</li> <li>Utilize cloud resources to optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of deployed applications.</li> <li>Automate software release processes with continuous delivery pipelines.</li> <li>Implement industry-standard DevOps tools for development, deployment, and operations tasks.</li> <li>Develop and enforce best practices for master and release management.</li> <li>Work closely with the development team to integrate their project changes and ensure the stability of the system.</li> <li>Monitor AWS instances and services for performance and cost optimization.</li> <li>Ensure the security and integrity of the cloud-based applications and data by implementing best cloud security practices.</li> <li>Responsible for incident management and troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, and resolution.</li> <li>Document every aspect of the system and processes as a reference for future problem resolution and upgrades.</li> </ul> </div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-qualifications"><div> <p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"/> <h2 class="title">Qualifications</h2> </div> <div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="qualifications"><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li> <li>Proven experience (6+ years) working as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on AWS.</li> <li>Strong understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and others relevant to application deployment and maintenance.</li> <li>Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Ruby.</li> <li>Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and AWS CI/CD services.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards tackling challenges.</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Desirable Skills:</li> <li>AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).</li> <li>Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.</li> <li>Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in AWS environments.</li> </ul></div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-additionalInformation"><div> <p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"/> <h2 class="title">Additional Information</h2> </div> <div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="incentives"> <p>At Version 1, we believe in providing our employees with a comprehensive benefits package that prioritises their well-being, professional growth, and financial stability. </p> <p>One of our standout advantages is the ability to work with a hybrid schedule along with business travel, allowing our employees to strike a balance between work and life.
