July 26 <br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Role - <br/></div><div>Special Educational Needs provides intervention to students with specific learning disabilities or other challenges that prevent them from being successful in core academic subjects <br/></div><div>The department also interventions students who would benefit from additional enrichment as outlined in the school’s gifted and talented policy<br/></div><div>Teaching may take place within the regular classroom, in small groups or to individual students. The focus is on intervention an inclusive, differentiated curriculum. <br/></div><div>The SEN Educator works with parents to identify and implement individualized education plans and other intervention<br/></div><div>The SEN Educator utilizes both quantitative and qualitative feedback to identify students who would benefit from intervention<br/></div><div>The SEN Educator also works with teachers to identify and implement teaching strategies that appropriately scaffold and intervention student learning.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Qualification / Experience - <br/></div><div>Bachelors or Masters in Special Education or a recognized postgraduate qualification in SEN <br/></div><div>SEN teaching experience of at least 5 years with preferably two years in an IB school<br/></div><div>Confidence, knowledge and experience working with children with specific learning disabilities and children from diverse cultural backgrounds<br/></div><div>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br/></div><div>Strong organizational skills<br/></div><div>Willingness to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities<br/></div><div>Fluency and accuracy in written and spoken English<br/></div><div>Computer skills at a level that permits the creative and effective use of technology in the classroom. MS Office Tools, Padlet, Zoom, etc. <br/></div><div><span class="font"><span class="size"><br/>Note - School time - 8 am to 3 pm<br/>3 Saturdays are off.<br/>Meal facility and transportation is provided.<br/><br/></span></span></div><div><span lang="EN-US">Local candidates needed.
