Synchrony

Role Summary/Purpose:IAM Scrum Master will be responsible for leading one or more of our agile scrum teams executing on Identify and Access Management projects and initiatives. This individual will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching teams through agile methodologies.Essential Responsibilities:<ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>Project Manager/ Scrum Master for IAM product teams</li><li>Lead teams and the organization on how to best use Agile principles/frameworks and effectively leverages appropriate best practices</li><li>Advocate for autonomous, self-organizing, empowered, and continuously improving teams</li><li>Act as Scrum Master for assigned Scrum teams, facilitating ceremonies such as, sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups and retrospectives.</li><li>Manage Sprints - keeping order, process, delivery, priorities accurate and on time</li><li>Ensures development stories, acceptance criteria, assumptions, and all related documentation are timely and complete, supporting development, testing, and user acceptance activities</li><li>Keep scrum team focused on concrete priorities while keeping outside influences from disrupting the Scrum team and actively identify and remove waste and distractions</li><li>Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand the expected product functionality and customer requirements.</li><li>Assist in removing team impediments, and track and maintain metrics.</li><li>Promote collaboration, transparency, and communicate accurate and timely information to stakeholders.</li><li>Create, assess, update and maintain documentation</li><li>Generates process reports indicating velocity, burn-down, etc.</li><li>Lead projects in Waterfall or Agile methodologies. Support transition to Agile</li><li>Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications/Requirements:<ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>Graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 5+ years of IT experience in lieu of degree, minimum 7+ years of IT experience</li><li>Minimum 1 year of experience with Jira, Agile, and other project management tools</li><li>Hands-on experience in agile, scrum master, project manager roles</li><li>CSM and SAFe Agilist certification</li></ul>Desired Characteristics:<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">IAM business and technology experience is a plus</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Previous working experience with Identity and Access Management technologies and have a firm understanding of Agile principles and frameworks.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Previous working experience coaching and transforming technology delivery teams into an Agile framework.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Skilled at organizing and communicating complex concepts - must be capable of breaking down complex situations, this applies to both technical issues and process issues.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Strong experience managing Agile delivery projects.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail a must.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Ability to work with teams to gather unrefined business requirements from multiple sources and formulate and deliver a solution in a timely manner.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Ability to work under the pressure of multiple projects and deadlines at once.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Solid communication skills and must be highly motivated and demonstrate high level of initiative.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Must be a self-starter, ability to quickly learn, adapt, shows initiative and thinks outside the box.</li></ul>
