Job description:
Core responsibilities related to GLP: Test item control office (TICO)
Receipt of the test materials i.e., test/reference item/ vehicle placebo etc, from the sponsor or in-house for Pre-clinical studies.
Verify the test materials and related documents at receipt, label it and store at appropriate storage condition in accordance with the in-house SOPs.
Communicate with management or designee for any discrepancies of test materials and documentation.
Maintain the inventory of test materials received.
Archive the representative quantity of test materials and document the issuance as per in-house SOPs.
Provide TIDS and CoA of test materials to study team.
Receive the request from study team, issue the requested quantity and document the issuance.
Follow the safety precautions as required for handling of test materials.
Discard the returned test formulation in accordance with in-house SOPs, where applicable.
Maintain the documentation as per in-house SOPs for sponsors & test item coding.
Co-ordinate with management or designee for the expired test materials for discards or returns to the sponsor.
Allied responsibility:
Related to animal house maintenance, animal breeding & animal welfare:
Day to day work allocation to the staff, workers and administration.
To monitor the husbandry practices of animals as per CCSEA & GLP norms
Maintenance of cleanliness, hygienic condition in various animal colonies.
Selection of breeders
To perform in-breeding related activities like calculation of requirements selection of breeders, cohabitation, weaning etc.
To perform out-breeding related activities like calculation of requirements selection of breeders, cohabitation, weaning etc.
Weighing and supply of animals for study
To observe the animals (animal house & study)
To help in purchasing, transportation & quarantine of animals and maintenance of its records.
To help in supply & transportation of animals and maintenance of its records.
To monitor environmental monitoring system.
Health monitoring of the animals
Procurements of materials for animal house activities. Preparation and labelling of reagents, solutions and chemicals in the animal house areas.
Maintenance of breeding, supply, stock and other internal records as per in-house SOPs and GLP
Ensure the maintenance of daily activity records
Ensure proper labelling of containers
Assure that all staff uses appropriate protective clothing and follow all safety precautions.
Dosing of animals by various routes as per the in-house SOPs.
Blood collection of animals as per the in-house SOPs.
Help in work related to Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) meeting.
Help in post mortem, organ collection and organ weighing of animals.
Measuring food consumption of the various animals.
Training and orientation of the personnel involved in animal husbandry practice,
To help in facility maintenance.
Communication with finance team, purchase team and suppliers.
Common Responsibilities:
Operation, calibration, cleaning, labelling and maintenance of instruments used for routine activity and maintain these records.
Request for the issuance of controlled / uncontrolled document and maintain the documentation.
Preparation, maintenance and review of SOPs for various activities and provide SOP training.
Cooperate during internal, RQA & sponsor audits of facility
Archive the documents as per in-house SOPs when applicable.
Update and maintain training records.
Additional responsibility as and when allotted by management which would not arise any conflict of interest.
