Candidates selected from outside of the serviced areas would need to relocate for this opportunity.  This position may be filled as a Safety Specialist II,  III, or Senior depending on experience and demonstrated success at the Safety Specialist level. Job Summary/PurposeAll members of Entergy’s safety function will be expected to own safety, work to prevent incidents and seek to improve with the understanding that zero harm is possible. This position is tasked with examining the workplace/worksite for environmental or physical factors that could affect employee and/or contract partner health, safety, comfort, and performance. Ensuring the workplace/worksite is as safe as possible is accomplished through conducting risk assessments, safety analyses, job site reviews, and coaching. This position is specific to vegetation management and asset management. Job Duties/Responsibilities<ul type="disc"><li>Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of safety programs in accordance with management system elements.</li><li>Conduct training as necessary to ensure applicable rules, procedures, and expectations are understood.</li><li>Conduct engagements and observations with employees and contract partners providing immediate coaching on safe and unsafe conditions observed.</li><li>Conduct field and site inspections, document deficiencies, and develop sustainable solutions to prevent repeat findings.</li><li>Participate in the incident investigation process including root cause analysis and identification of corrective actions.</li><li>Reinforce safe work expectations in accordance with applicable laws, rules, procedures, and expectations.</li><li>Review safety related data and metrics to identify trends and recommend corrective actions to address any issues identified.</li><li>Stop work if there is any unsafe condition.</li></ul> Minimum RequirementsMinimum education required of the position<ul type="disc"><li>Safety Specialist II: Any Level Degree Preferred</li><li>Safety Specialist III: Bachelor Preferred</li><li>Safety Specialist, Senior: Bachelor Preferred</li></ul> Minimum experience required of the position<ul type="disc"><li>Safety Specialist II: 2+ years industry and/or safety experience preferred</li><li>Safety Specialist III: 4+ years industry and/or safety experience preferred</li><li>Safety Specialist Senior: 6+ years industry and/or safety experience preferred</li></ul> Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position<ul type="disc"><li>Working knowledge of construction and general industry safety regulations.</li><li>Ability to observe and engage with employees and contract partners.</li><li>Investigation/RCA with tools such as TapRoot, Cause Mapping, Fishbone, Five whys, etc.</li><li>Skilled in analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends.</li><li>Ability to interact with customers and members of the public in a pleasant and tactful manner.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required.</li></ul> Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position<ul type="disc"><li>Safety Specialist II</li><ul type="disc"><li>Required: COSS/CHST/OHST or equivalent</li></ul><li>Safety Specialist III</li><ul type="disc"><li>Required: COSM/CHST/OHST or equivalent</li></ul><li>Safety Specialist Senior</li><ul type="disc"><li>Required: ASP/CUSP/OSHA 500 or equivalent</li></ul><li>**If you don't have these licenses, you must be able to obtain them upon being hired.***</li></ul> Preferred<ul type="disc"><li>Asset Management, Vegetation Management, or Vegetation Safety experience preferred</li><li>Bilingual (Spanish) preferred</li></ul><h1>Primary Location: Arkansas-Hot Springs Arkansas : Hotsprings || Arkansas : Hot Springs || Arkansas : Little Rock  Job Function: All Other Jobs FLSA Status: Professional  Relocation Option: Union description/code: NON BARGAINING UNIT  Number of Openings: 1 Req ID: 121755 Travel Percentage:Up to 25%</h1>An Equal Opportunity Employer, Minority/Female/Disability/Vets.
