Key responsibilities typically include:<ul><li>Transaction Verification: Scrutinizing a wide range of retail banking transactions (e.g., account opening, loan applications, fund transfers, customer data updates) to ensure they are processed correctly and completely according to established policies and procedures.</li><li>Compliance Adherence: Verifying that all operations comply with internal bank policies, industry regulations (e.g., KYC, AML), and legal requirements. This involves checking for correct documentation, approvals, and data entry.</li><li>Error Identification & Reporting: Identifying discrepancies, errors, omissions, or inconsistencies in documentation, data, and process execution. Documenting findings accurately and reporting them to relevant stakeholders for correction and process improvement.</li><li>Root Cause Analysis (Assisting): Assisting in the analysis of identified errors to determine their root causes, which helps in preventing recurrence and improving overall operational efficiency.</li><li>Process Improvement Suggestions: Providing feedback and suggestions for enhancing existing processes, controls, and training programs based on audit findings to improve quality and reduce errors.</li><li>Record Keeping: Maintaining thorough and organized records of all quality checks performed, including findings, resolutions, and follow-up actions.</li><li>Adherence to SLAs: Ensuring that quality checks are completed within defined service level agreements (SLAs) without compromising accuracy.</li><li>Training and Guidance: Potentially providing guidance or training to operational staff on best practices, common errors, and policy updates to foster a culture of quality.</li></ul>This role is crucial for safeguarding the bank's reputation, financial integrity, and customer trust by ensuring that all retail banking activities are executed flawlessly. Qualifications: <ul><li>6+ years of relevant experience</li><li>Retail Banking Operations: Previous experience in retail banking operations, back-office processing, or a similar role is usually required. This provides familiarity with banking products, services, processes, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Quality Assurance/Control: Experience in a quality assurance, quality control, or auditing function, preferably within the financial services industry, is highly valued.</li><li>Data Entry/Processing: Experience with high-volume data entry and processing, demonstrating an understanding of accuracy and efficiency.</li></ul> Education: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent (12+3 years of education)</li></ul> This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
