The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions. They will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software systems using the latest technologies and frameworks, with a focus on SAS-based product development and agile ways of working. Responsibilities <ul><li>Go to person as the technical lead for the end-to-end development of applications built on C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Web Forms.</li><li>Create technical designs rendering scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that align with business objectives.</li><li>Establish best practices across full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, implementation, testing, and deployment.</li><li>Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to a team of developers.</li><li>Work with Oracle or SQL Databases to design and optimize database interactions.</li><li>Develop user-friendly interfaces and responsive front-end components using Angular.</li><li>Lead the design and development of SAS-based products, ensuring alignment with business requirements.</li><li>Actively contribute in an Agile environment, participating in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.</li><li>Ensure deliverables meet quality and performance standards through agile best practices.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and functional issues.</li><li>Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team.</li><li>Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software development.</li></ul> Requirements <ul><li>Experience: Proven experience of 8+ years (with 3+ years as technical lead) of software development with a strong technical focus on C# and .NET Core.</li><li>Proficiency in ASP.NET Web Forms and building web-based applications.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Oracle or SQL Server, including query optimization and database design.</li><li>Strong experience in SAS-based product development, including integration and deployment.</li><li>Proficiency in Angular or similar front-end frameworks.</li><li>Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles.</li><li>Prior experience working in an Agile development environment with knowledge of agile methodologies and ways of working.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.</li><li>Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).</li><li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.</li><li>Prior experience in the health insurance domain is highly desirable.</li><li>Industry certifications are added advantage.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.</li></ul> About The Cigna Group Cigna Healthcare, a division of The Cigna Group, is an advocate for better health through every stage of life.
