Reporting to the QA Manager, the ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases within Agile sprints. The Lead Engineer QA should have a solid understanding of manual and automated testing practices, familiarity with CI/CD processes, and a collaborative mindset.<div/> Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Design, write, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.</li><li>Perform manual testing of web applications, APIs, and back-end systems, ensuring full coverage.</li><li>Collaborate with automation engineers and contribute to automation test case design and execution (if skilled).</li><li>Log, track, and verify bugs through defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).</li><li>Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.</li><li>Validate fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure stability across releases.</li><li>Communicate test results, issues, and risks to the QA Manager and cross-functional teams.</li><li>Ensure test documentation is up to date and maintained in tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.</li><li>Work closely with the QA Manager to continuously improve QA processes, tools, and standards.</li><li>Support performance testing and test data management activities when required.</li></ul><div/> Required Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>6+ years of experience in software quality assurance.</li><li>Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and Agile principles.</li><li>Proficiency in manual testing with working knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium or Functionize.</li><li>Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or SOAPUI.</li><li>Experience in defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, TestRail).</li><li>Basic understanding of CI/CD environments and source control (e.g., Jenkins, Git).</li><li>Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative Agile team environment.</li></ul><div/> Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.</li><li>Familiarity with database testing using SQL.</li><li>Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) is a plus.</li><li>ISTQB or other relevant certification preferred.</li></ul>We offer you a competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.   DISCLAIMER: Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities of this job to other entities; including but not limited to subsidiaries, partners, or purchasers of Alight business units. .</body></html>
