As part of the transformation, the (Demand Deposit Account) DDA module residing within the legacy core banking platform will be migrated onto a modern cloud native next generation DDA platform. The DDA platform will provide account management and transaction posting capabilities for Citi’s Institutional Clients Group (ICG) business globally. Citi has completed the selection of the DDA platform, built the foundational ecosystem with the new platform. The expansion of the setup for various markets now requires an experienced and knowledgeable individual, who will need to be hands on with platform to understand, design and develop it for future deployments The Applications Development Technology Lead Developer is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. Responsibilities:</li></ul><ul><li>Work alongside the vendor DDA solution provider team to enhance, manage and run the DDA platform</li><li>Develop and enhance microservices to meet Citi DDA requirements </li><li>Engage with Citi Product Owners, architects and squad members within the transformation program to understand the requirements and map them into the APIs and events out of the DDA platform</li><li>Collaborate with DDA provider to ensure the requirements are delivered on-time and with quality</li><li>Interact and co-ordinate with DDA solution provider peer squads and downstream squads like security, SRE, Data</li><li>Development and implementation of DDA platform in line with the market roll out strategy</li><li>Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements</li><li>Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards</li><li>Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint</li><li>Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation</li><li>Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals</li><li>Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions</li><li>Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Professional Qualifications and attributes </li><li>Over 10 years of relevant experience, Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent</li><li>6+ years in application development</li><li>Notable skill for establishing rapport and credibility with product owners and technical architects</li><li>Strong engineering team management capability</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a wide range of people, both internally and externally</li><li>Has had significant experience in managing high-speed feature development on AWS</li><li>Experience with cloud native core banking solutions</li><li>Experience with modernization of core banking platforms Technical Qualifications:</li><li>Microservice development using Java, Golang, Groovy  (non-negotiable)</li><li>Strong knowledge of Distributed transactions (non-negotiable)</li><li>In depth knowledge in the AWS services, namely a few includes S3, EC2, Private Link, Route 53, VPC, SQS, SNS (non-negotiable)</li><li>Strong architecture knowledge of modern cloud-based development frameworks including microservices, APIs, CI-CD frameworks, data streaming</li><li>MySQL, DynamoDB, Aurora DB, NoSQL</li><li>REST APIs</li><li>JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Mobile development frameworks (Angular, React) Education:</li><li>Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
