We are looking for a engineer to work within our Stratus PBM Technology organization who has experience with COBOL and shell scripting. This role provides counsel and advice to management on significant Engineering matters, often requiring coordination between several PBM teams. In this role you will support the full software lifecycle of design, development, testing, and support for technical delivery. This role requires working with both onsite (Scrum Master, Product, QA and Developers) and offshore QA team members in properly defining testable scenarios based on requirements/acceptance criteria. </p><p/><p>  <b>    <u>Responsibilities</u>  </b></p><p/><ul><li>Be hands-on in the design and development of robust solutions to hard problems, while considering scale, security, reliability, and cost</li><li>Support other product delivery partners in the successful build, test, and release of solutions</li><li>Be part of a fast-moving team, working with the latest tools and open-source technologies</li><li>Work on a development team using agile methodologies.</li><li>Understand the Business and the Application Architecture End to End</li><li>Solve problems by crafting software solutions using maintainable and modular code.</li><li>Participate in daily team standup meetings where you'll give and receive updates on the current backlog and challenges.</li><li>Participate in code reviews. Ensure Code Quality and Deliverables</li><li>Provide Impact analysis for new requirements or changes. Responsible for low level design with the team</li><li>May lead or manage sizable projects</li><li>Provides thought leadership and technical expertise across the PBM technology organization</li></ul><p/><p/><p>  <b>    <u>Qualifications</u>  </b></p><p/><p>  <b>Required Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Requires strong knowledge of the following technology skill sets – COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2/SQL, and VSAM</li><li>Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development, and specification by example. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. </li></ul><p/><p>  <b>Preferred Skills:</b></p><p/><ul><li>Hands-on Shell Scripting is highly preferred</li><li>Familiarity with agile methodology including SCRUM team leadership.  </li><li>Strong influencing/negotiation skills. </li><li>Strong interpersonal/relationship, time and project management skills. </li></ul><p/><p><b>Required Experience & Education:</b> </p><p/><ul>  <li>11+ years of experience in developing Stratus and/or Mainframe batch and online applications, utilizing Cobol/VSAM</li></ul><p/><ul>  <li>Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Technology Management, or related field of study.</li></ul><p/><p/><p>  <b>About Evernorth Health Services</b></p><div>  <div>    <div>      <div>        <div>          <div>            <div>              <p>Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group, creates pharmacy, care and benefit solutions to improve health and increase vitality.
