This role combines responsibilities across external engagement, policy advocacy, and corporate communications, working closely with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to align on business and policy priorities. The position reports to the Head of Corporate Affairs & Advocacy Relations, Korea, and operates as part of the Corporate Affairs & Advocacy Relations function.<h2> Key Responsibilities</h2><h2/> Government Affairs and External Engagement (50%) <ul><li>Develop and implement government affairs strategies to shape healthcare policy and access environments in support of Amgen’s business objectives.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, policymakers, and key policy stakeholders.</li><li>Monitor and analyze policy, legislative, and regulatory developments impacting the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, and provide timely updates to senior leadership on relevant risks and opportunities.</li></ul> Corporate Affairs and Communications (50%) <ul><li>Develop and execute strategic PR plans supporting brand and corporate comms goals </li><li>Responsible for both corporate and product communications, issues management, advocacy campaigns, and broader, proactive engagement initiatives </li><li>Manage media relations activities, including message development, issue response, and media engagement.</li><li>Produce clear and compelling communications materials for internal and external audiences.</li><li>Partner with external PR agencies and regional Corporate Affairs teams to ensure alignment and impact.</li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field.</li><li>Strong understanding of Korea’s healthcare and biopharmaceutical policy environment.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Korean and English.</li><li>Proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships across government, industry, and media.</li><li>Demonstrated strategic thinking, planning, and execution capabilities within complex organizations.</li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation, forward planning and project management skills. </li><li>Demonstrated business acumen, strong partnering skills with business leaders. </li><li>Able to work in complex matrix organizations. </li></ul> Experience: <ul><li>Minimum 10 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or corporate communications, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.</li><li>Proven track record in policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and media relations.</li><li>Prior experience in multinational or matrix organizations preferred.</li><li>Experience working with industry associations, government bodies, or patient advocacy groups is an advantage.</li></ul> Core Competencies <ul><li>Strategic Communication and Influence</li><li>Stakeholder and Policy Engagement</li><li>Collaboration in Cross-Functional and Matrix Teams</li><li>Sound Business Judgment and External Awareness</li></ul>                                                     <div/>.</body></html>
