What we're looking for: We are looking for a Engineering Manager to drive design, development, and delivery of core components within Zinier’s platform and products. You will guide a team of talented engineers, partner closely with Product and Design, and ensure technical excellence across our solutions. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Engage in requirements discussions with the product team to ensure clarity and feasibility.</li><li>Develop and maintain the backend of the Zinier ecosystem with a focus on high-quality, scalable code.</li><li>Investigate and resolve product issues in collaboration with stakeholders.</li><li>Optimize applications for performance, speed, and scalability.</li><li>Contribute to training initiatives to upskill team members across the company.</li><li>Maintain and update technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing.</li><li>Mentor junior engineers, fostering best practices and engineering principles.</li><li>Conduct code reviews to maintain high development standards.</li><li>Collaborate in an Agile environment, leveraging JIRA for sprint planning, backlog management, and issue tracking.</li></ul> Skill Requirements: <ul><li>Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design.</li><li>Experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems</li><li>Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and Microservices architecture.</li><li>Proficiency with Relational Databases (MySQL) and in-memory stores (Redis).</li><li>Working knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, CloudWatch, etc.</li><li>Exposure to DocumentDB/NoSQL databases in a scalable application environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of application security, performance optimization, and API versioning.</li><li>10+ years of experience in software development with 4+ years in a lead or senior engineer role</li><li>Strong problem solver with an ability to design solutions for complex business challenges.</li><li>Passionate about mentorship, technical design, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Comfortable working in a matrix organization and influencing across pods.</li><li>Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities evolve and innovation is key.</li></ul></body></html>
