Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond.   Together, we advance your career.    Director - Embedded X86 SOC Pre-silicon Emulation / Post Silicon Validation   Core responsibilities <ul><li>SOC Emulation – Lead the pre-silicon emulation and work closely with SOC design teams to validate the new silicon features </li><li>Silicon bring-up: Lead the initial bringing up of new silicon and work closely with software and firmware teams to support their work.</li><li>SOC Feature Enablement - Work with IP and SOC Design to define the enablement sequence and define specs</li><li>SOC Electrical and Functional valdation - Validate the SOC for Functional and Electrical correctness </li><li>Cross-functional collaboration: Work with design, verification, and software teams to resolve problems and meet project goals.</li><li>Test development and execution: Design, develop, and execute validation tests in C/C++ to functionally test the silicon on physical hardware or emulators.</li><li>Debugging and root cause analysis: Use lab equipment like logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers to debug issues, root-cause silicon failures, and verify fixes.</li><li>Automation: Develop and build automated test suites and validation frameworks to improve efficiency.</li><li>Reporting: Report on project status and provide feedback to the architecture and design teams. </li></ul>   Required skills and experience <ul><li>System-on-Chip (SoC) and ASIC validation: Experience with SoC architecture, pre-silicon emulation, and post-silicon ASIC validation.</li><li>Programming: Proficient in C/C++ and scripting languages like Python or Perl.</li><li>Lab equipment: Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.</li><li>Test development: Experience writing and reviewing validation test plans and developing directed, random, and pseudo-random diagnostics.</li><li>System integration: Ability to bring up and debug systems on various platforms using tools like JTAG.</li><li>Problem-solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills to find and resolve complex issues. </li><li>Automation tools: Experience with creating and building automation suites and test automation tools.</li></ul>  #LI-SR4 Benefits offered are described:  <a href="https://amd.jibeapply.com/benefits" target="_blank" rel="noopener">AMD benefits at a glance</a>.  AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
