At this level, you’ll begin applying AI-assisted tools for billing reconciliation, data validation, and insight generation—freeing time for deeper analysis and collaboration. Your Impact: As a Billing Analyst, you’ll work closely with Finance, Sales Operations, and Customer Support teams to: Billing Administration Manage and oversee Vendasta billing operations, including subscription setup, invoicing, and payment reconciliation Ensure billing data accuracy and resolve any discrepancies related to invoicing, payments, or subscription processes Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to align billing with financial reporting and reconciliation efforts Leverage AI-driven validation or workflow assistants (e.g., rule-based auto-flagging for errors or late payments) to ensure accuracy and speed Data Analysis and Reporting Create recurring billing dashboards and ad hoc reports using Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools with embedded AI features (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau GPT) Use AI-based pattern detection tools to identify anomalies in MRR, churn, and upgrade/downgrade flows Present insights to stakeholders with clear visualizations and contextual explanations, supported by AI summarization where useful Process Improvement and Documentation Identify inefficiencies in billing workflows and propose automations or low-code solutions for improvement (e.g., AI-based invoice categorization or workflow triggers) Document billing processes, system configurations, and best practices to create a detailed knowledge base for the team Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate with the Finance, Sales Operations, and Customer Support teams to ensure accurate billing processes and data integrity Participate in special projects, including system upgrades, billing enhancements, and new feature implementations Share AI tool suggestions or prompt techniques that reduce manual effort and improve cross-team responsiveness What you bring to the table: 2+ years of experience in invoicing and payment reconciliation roles Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex billing data and provide meaningful insights Comfort using spreadsheets, finance systems, and introductory AI tools (e.g., AI formulas, smart summaries, or embedded validation) Uses AI-enabled tools (e.g., formula helpers, pattern detectors, billing analytics summaries) with limited guidance Follows structured AI prompts or automation workflows; suggests improvements to teammates or team leads Begins iterating on AI tool use cases (e.g., invoice batching, variance flagging, customer behavior patterns) Experience with process documentation and improvement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate across departments Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Bachelor’s degree in Accounts, Commerce, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
