Women of the World is a global leadership development program for women V Teamers that challenges participants to up their game to help build a better Verizon. WOW helps women VTeamers to strengthen their leadership capabilities and enable them to grow their Verizon careers through interactive learning experiences such as consistent virtual workshops, online learning modules, and tools structured around the 5 pillars of the program. The participants also have the opportunity to be mentored by Verizon leaders through this program. The program helps to empower women employees to address cultural, professional, emotional, and familial challenges to gain the confidence and skills necessary to progress within the ranks of leadership.
The Women Tech Leadership Program has been curated by the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council to nurture Women Tech Leaders to take on core technology roles. The program aims at building a skillset, to help women employees to progress through their careers and become successful Tech Leaders. The program ensures the building of a pipeline of system and solution architects through continuous learning pathways curated for each individual. This program will build the skill sets women need to progress in their careers and grow into Tech leaders. The program will be a virtual 6-month program with a focus on Delivery / Approach Virtual learning, 1-1 mentoring, hands-on projects focused on tech leadership skills, Custom content, and experience based on successful models(from a business group).
The TechMakers program nurtures and encourages women V Teamers in tech. It offers them levers to innovate and be a part of industry forums and platforms to participate, gain visibility and emerge as thought leaders and role models in technology.
Our female employees have been leading the way, participating in tech forums such as GHCI (Grace Hopper Celebration, India), eWIT and Geek Goddess. One of our women employees recently advanced into the Top 10 winners list under the Women in Tech category at the HerRising Awards 2022 amongst 450+ shortlisted women achievers who exemplify innovation, mentorship, professionalism, and leadership.
Our V-Lean in Circles pairs entry-level and mid-level employees with senior leaders to encourage networking, collaboration, and conversation.
We also have programs for senior and executive-level women, including Leadership Edge, New Director Onboarding and for future leaders: programs like Pre-leader academy, New Leader Experience Program & many more available in addition to access to the learning portal.
