About Turning Pages Foundation

We are a non-profit organisation with the vision to build a world of joyful readers. We collaborate with schools, with a specific focus on primary school years, to create a sustainable joyful reading culture that nurtures life-long learners and thinkers.

 

We believe that the habit of reading for pleasure is transformational in a child’s life. Besides improved academic performance, it leads to the development of critical thinking, independent learning and stronger socio-emotional skills. All of these play a crucial role in equipping the child to face the challenges of a rapidly changing world where self directed learning and the ability to adapt are going to be of paramount importance.

 

Our “Whole School Reading Culture” programme uses a multipronged approach that has children’s literature at its core, and works closely with teachers to surround the children with an ecosystem that facilitates the development of the reading habit.

 

Turning Pages Foundation is a young, dynamic, research based and impact focused organisation. It is run by an energetic founding team that brings together the best from the corporate and non-profit education worlds. We are in an exciting phase with presence in 11 schools across 3 Indian states. The focus is on perfecting our innovative programme, demonstrating sustainability and then rapidly scaling up.
