Women friendly policies

Maternity Leave Policy

Subex provides Maternity Leave and Benefits as per the Maternity Benefits Act, 1961. The key provisions are as follows:

  • A block of 26 weeks is available as maternity leave.
  • Out of the 26 weeks, up to 8 weeks may be availed before and including the date of delivery and the remaining may be availed after the date of delivery or the entire 26 weeks may be availed after the birth of the child including the date of birth
  • Subexian having 2 or more children is entitled to 12 weeks of maternity leave, of which up to 6 weeks can be availed before the date of delivery.
  • Post the completion of the above-mentioned duration of maternity leave, the Subexian may avail work from home option for an agreed duration with her manager.
  • In case of miscarriage or medical termination of pregnancy, Subexian is entitled to six weeks of paid Maternity Leave. She is also entitled to 1 additional month of paid leave in case of complications arising due to pregnancy, delivery, premature birth, miscarriage, medical termination or a tubectomy operation (two weeks in this case).
  • Apart from the maternity leave and the regular leaves that are available in the Subexian’s account, should there be a need for further extension, she will be allowed leaves with no pay for upto 6 months with necessary approvals.

Paternity Leave Policy

All permanent & full time male employees are eligible for 2 calendar weeks of paternity leave to be availed within 90 days of child birth.

Adoption Leave

A leave of 12 calendar weeks would be available to adopting/commissioning mothers form the date of adoption.
