Women friendly policies

Maternity Leave Policy

  • An eligible female employee can avail the benefits of maternity leave benefits upto maximum 2 surviving children.
  • Female employees will be entitled to maternity leave as per the provisions of the Maternity Benefit Act, which currently provides maximum of 26 weeks (182 days inclusive of holidays & weekends) which may be availed pre and post-natal, subject to a maximum of 8 weeks pre and minimum of 18 weeks post-delivery.
  • Further, subject to advice by registered medical practitioners for illness caused post-delivery & submission of the medical certificates stating the same, maternity leave may be extended for 1 month, only if the employee needs it.
  • Commissioning and Adopting Mothers: Maternity benefit has now also been extended to commissioning and adopting mothers. A female employee adopting a child below 3 months of age and ‘commissioning mothers’ shall be entitled to 12 weeks of Maternity Benefit from the date the child is handed over to them
