HP has always been my dream job ! Coming into HP I was able to learn and grow, moving across Software Development, Architecture , Test, Analytics and Machine Learning. If you have the passion and commitment, HP provides the enabling structure to enhance your career providing opportunities across functions and businesses.

HP Reboot program was a very well-timed opportunity for me to break the break and bounce back to meet my career dreams! I can’t emphasize enough that the program was well crafted and flawlessly executed from the beginning till the end. There was a meticulous thought process that went in from the program team to come up with projects, mentors, buddies, and several impactful sessions throughout. Starting from the induction program to subsequent periodic insightful trainings about the org, culture and tools paved the way to upskill and build the career in the chosen direction. It's the incessant support by the leadership and unshaken commitment from Reboot team at every stage that lead to a successful end. The whole program experience made me feel I could start effortlessly from where I paused for a career break. I always cherish the HP Reboot journey and will utilise the opportunities available at HP to the fullest to reach my career goals!

Apart from cricket, second innings is very common in women’s life and wouldn’t be wrong to say almost every woman has this phase more so if you’re from India. I had to briefly stop my fist innings of work due to relocation to Middle East with husband. Middle East isn’t famous for IT or jobs for Women, where jobs are mostly filled up via references. Added to this I had to take a break due to my first child. Due to the above reasons, I had a long work gap of 2+years after having 6+ years’ experience in IT. Luckily MOOC and my interest in IT saved me while returning to India along with HP that launched their job program for women with a ‘career gap’. The program is named aptly as ‘Reboot’ and aims at supporting women who wish to work after a gap due to various reasons. This is a blessing and a ray of hope for all those women who struggle to come to terms with their career gap and make a fresh start. The team at HP is purely looking at your interest and determination to work with no bias attached to your ‘work gap’. Whole process of Reboot is aimed at supporting, encouraging women to resume their career including the HR who are considerate toward your situation. The program has initial 3 months in-house training specific to your core strengths or interest post which you are subjected to test to determine your path within HP. The training program and mentors assigned are the best and usually one clears the bridge, jumping comfortably into LIVE projects as team member/s! The team is considerate and supportive with excellent work environment which integrates you smoothly into the work life again. I’m about to reach first year of completion and thanks to HP for this program and giving me the confidence, platform to start my second innings successfully. Or should I say, continue first innings…! Wishing good luck and looking forward for many more to work via REBOOT…
