This includes working from home, flexible hours, working part-time, or job sharing. And if the flexibility required doesn’t allow you to report partially at work a short term-partially paid enhanced sabbatical, introduced during the pandemic to support any personal need or a long-term sabbatical consent in the mix. Staying true to our sense of empowering employees most of our policies are gender neutral and only list down the guidelines and are for availing these options, the practical application of the same if left between the people leader and the employees there by ensure a sense of shared accountability between the leaders and the employee.

Maternity Leave Policy

Even before the amendment of the maternity benefit act in India - Ford provided semi paid extended maternity leave up to 6 months to support women employees as they took over exciting roles of motherhood.

In support of gender-neutral paid leave policy, Ford offers both new mothers and fathers up to12 weeks of fully paid leave for adoption and commissioning parents. At Ford one of our core culture belief is to “Put People First” and it’s the lens through we all our people leaders operate, for examples the leaves and flexible working options are most often a lot more flexible that as laid down in our policy giving the employee enough time and space to manage things at both home and work and causing lesser stress and allowing them to be a lot more productive at work.
