A quick introduction: eVidyaloka, a not-for-profit based out of Bangalore, is on mission of solving teacher shortage is Rural Government Schools across 10 states in India. Currently we are having 167 schools, spread across 10 states with more than 12,800 students getting opportunity to learn from citizens like me & you.

Quick look into our model:

1. We establish digital infrastructure at school ( 42 inch TV with internet facility)
2. Volunteers elevate themselves as teachers & connect to these classrooms during schools hours over Skype / hangout and deliver classes from their office / home
3. Volunteers will be provided complete teaching material like ( Text book in Regional Language & English version, Lesson Plans, Activity sheet, Question Bank, Other contents etc).

Our model involves volunteer to teach a minimum of 2 hours a week ( based on volunteer convenience & teaching slot availability) between 10 am to 4 pm through Skype or hangout application.

The subjects are: Science, Maths and English (any one), for the grades of 5th to 8th std students.

The medium of teaching required is Kannada for Karnataka schools and respective regional languages. We operate in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, AP & Telangana, West Bengal, Odisha, UP, Bihar, Jarkhand, Uttrakhand.

Pre-requisits:

1. Laptop of PC with Webcam and good internet connection
2. Passion to teach

Volunteering (Teaching experience) Certificate:

On successful completion of volunteering of 3 Months or More, we will provide volunteering ( Teaching experience) Certificate to volunteers.
