<p>Chaitanya started as a Non-Governmental Organization (registered as a society) in 2004 with a focus on support for rural livelihood activities and rural education.&nbsp; Later it evolved as a microfinance organization under the name of Chaitanya Foundation.&nbsp; To expand the coverage of its micro finance activities and make it sustainable, Chaitanya the NBFC was formed in March 2009.&nbsp; Chaitanya India Fin Credit obtained the Certification of Registration from the RBI in September 2009 and was converted to a NBFC-MFI in 2013.</p> <p>Chaitanya Rural Intermediation Development Services Private Limited (CRIDS) incorporated on February 14^th, 2012. CRIDS obtained its NBFC licence in 2016 and is the 100% holding company of Chaitanya India Fin Credit Pvt Ltd (CIFCPL). CRIDS will focus principally on the secured loans to Lower Income Rural population.</p>
