Appiko, officially registered as Zazu Wildlife Technologies Pvt. Ltd., is a technology development company that aims to facilitate the work of wildlife conservationists by providing them with the latest cutting-edge tools. At Appiko, we believe that technology can be applied to make far more effective use of the limited resources available for wildlife conservation. Also, all the technology developed by Appiko would be open source since any competition/collaboration in this space is useful. Appiko was founded in Oct 2017 and right now we are a team of three. Currently at Appiko we are developing a suite of low-cost, power-efficient and easy to use sensors for detecting various species of animals. We are also working with forest officers, conservationists and filmmakers on various projects. Appiko is a recipient of the Elevate 100 grant by Government of Karnataka.
