We were the first school in Nalasopara, Palghar to provide education, life skill development and parent counseling to children with intellectual disabilities. At present, we cater to 45 children from underprivileged low-income background. Job Role & Responsibilities:· To lead curriculum development within the team· To ensure that staff are following agreed curriculum set· To maintain a handbook or data base containing all relevant policies and schemes of work· To ensure that monitoring of teaching and learning takes place to ensure common standards across the team.· To plan a budget for VTC in line with the school’s financial procedures· To work with project coordinator (VTC) for marketing and promotion of VTC products· To assist the team with production of items in various units.· To oversee arrangements for homework/independent and Guided Learning.· To oversee preparation of students for all assessment and examinations in the subject/s and reporting to parents· To monitor student attendance at and behavior in during the lessons. Key Qualifications & Experience:<ul><li>Graduate/Post-graduate in Fine Arts, Art & Craft, Special Education, or a related field.</li><li>3–5 years’ experience in art & craft–based vocational training, preferably with persons with disabilities/intellectual disabilities.</li><li>Strong hands-on skills and creative inclination to design simple, structured art & craft activities focused on skill development and livelihood.</li><li>Ability to plan, manage, and supervise vocational training programmes, including trainers, schedules, and daily VTC operations.</li><li>Key Competencies:</li></ul>· Good verbal and written communication skills· Proactive and able to take initiative· Comfortable working in the ambiguity of an early stage organization to build systems and process· Able to work with minimal support· Fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi.· Good interpersonal skills· Strong project management and execution skills· Able to persevere in the face of challenges· Passion towards the cause of children with disabilities· Keen interest in collaborating, innovating and creating sector level impact You may send your CV to contact@suryodayschool.org / sundar.iyer@suryodayschool.org.
