As part of its digital transformation journey, Jio-bp is establishing an AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE) to drive data-led decision-making, innovation, and operational excellence across business functions.Role OverviewThe Data Integration Engineer will support end-to-end data ingestion and integration from enterprise source systems into the AI CoE data platform. This is a hands-on role focused on building and operating reliable integration pipelines (batch and streaming), ensuring data quality, secure connectivity, and governed data movement into the lakehouse for downstream analytics and AI workloads.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and support data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory and/or Databricks Jobs/Workflows for batch integrations. Support near real-time integrations using Event Hub/Kafka patterns where required. Integrate data from diverse sources (databases, APIs, files, enterprise applications) into ADLS/Databricks lakehouse structures. Implement basic data validation checks, reconciliation, and monitoring to ensure completeness and accuracy. Support secure connectivity and access patterns: authentication, secrets handling (Key Vault), network constraints, and RBAC as per standards. Troubleshoot pipeline failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes with proper documentation and runbooks. Collaborate with Data Engineering and platform teams on ingestion standards, naming conventions, and dataset onboarding. Support release discipline: Dev→UAT→Prod deployments via CI/CD, version control, and configuration management.Must-Have Skills & ExperienceB.Tech./B.E. or Master’s in CS/IT/ECE/Engineering (or related field) or equivalent. 2–4 years in data integration / ETL / data engineering roles. Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (pipelines, triggers, connectors, parameters) and strong SQL. Working knowledge of Python (for transformations/utilities) and basic Databricks concepts is a plus. Exposure to APIs, file-based integrations, and common enterprise data formats (CSV/JSON/Parquet). Basic understanding of data lake/lakehouse concepts and data pipeline monitoring/operations. Familiarity with streaming/messaging concepts (Event Hub/Kafka) is a plus. Understanding of security basics: RBAC, secrets handling (Key Vault), and environment discipline.
