Women friendly policies

Maternity Leave Policy

  • Eligible team members are entitled to 26 weeks of maternity leave (inclusive of the intervening weekly offs and other holidays). Maternity leave can be availed from 8 weeks of the expected date of delivery
  • Team members with two or more children and commissioning mothers (a biological mother who uses her egg to create an embryo implanted in another woman) are entitled to 26 weeks of paid maternity leave (inclusive of the intervening weekly offs and national/festive holidays)
  • Team members can avail 26 weeks of paid leave (inclusive of the intervening weekly offs and other holidays) immediately from the day of miscarriage or medical termination
  • Team members can avail 26 weeks of paid leave in addition to sick leave immediately following the day of tubectomy operation

Paternity Leave Policy

Team members are entitled to 26 weeks of paid leave


Child-Care Facility

  • This is an interim childcare benefit policy with the intent to help our colleagues manage child care requirements by providing reimbursement of crèche facilities (day-care centers)
  • This policy applies to all colleagues whether full or part-time, fixed-term or permanent, employed by S&P Global (and its subsidiaries) in India. It does not include independent contractors who are covered under a different policy by their Service Provider
  • All colleagues who have children up till the age of 6 years and have started to work from office in the hybrid work model or full time are eligible for the childcare benefit.
  • Eligible colleagues from all the office locations can enroll their children in the dedicated centers (listed below) and claim for reimbursement for the cost of day care services as prescribed below on these pre agreed rates.
  • Colleagues availing this benefit can claim for a monthly reimbursement via People Services portal which shall be paid out with the subsequent payroll (depending on payroll cut-off dates).
  • This benefit is limited to one S&P Global (and its subsidiaries) colleague per family meaning if both parents work for S&P Global or one of its subsidiaries you must designate the primary benefit holder for your family or household. S&P Global and its subsidiaries will not duplicate reimbursement for creche facilities for colleagues who are spouses or members of the same household
